2010 Advent Wars
by Christopher Doyle on November 29, 2010 at 10:02 amIn 2008, there were two different LEGO Advent Calendars. City and Castle. The world wasn’t big enough for both of them.
Champions were selected, and Player A took on Player B in the first of the Reasonably Clever Advent Wars.
Now, in 2010, the CITY is threatened by the KINGDOMS.
And Player B has returned to take on a new challenger.
As the Advent Calendars release their daily sets, Player B and Player O will battle to bring home the most plunder from LEGO’s Grand Emporium.
It’s going to be wicked awesome.

2010 CITY Advent Madness
by Christopher Doyle on November 29, 2010 at 9:10 amStarting December 1st, follow along as Reasonably Clever reviews each day of the 2010 CITY Advent Calendar from LEGO!
Fun, surprises, and mystery await! (And the contents of the calendar, too!)
Alternate punchline: “Look, Shop@home just raised their prices again…”
Alternate punchline #2: “Yes, sir! The finest organic plastic in the land!”
It’s the sad result of the smallest denomination of LEGO currency being the $100 brick. On the plus side, a small tree costs the same as a can of soda in the Power Miner’s line…

Also, lots of new outfits for the cast in today’s strip. Most of them are from the new Harry Potter sets, or from the Collectible Minifigures lines.
Luka’s bedroom is on the second floor of the Brickhouse set. I think this is the first time I’ve actually shown the place in-strip.
Happy Thanksgiving to my readers in the USA!
My first draft was just to have a “family portrait” shot for today’s strip – quick and easy. But you know the cast; they can’t leave things well enough alone…
Whiskey is still bitter about not getting his fire and ice powers.
…and Donut is just bitter in general.
Upcoming Advent Madness Season
by Christopher Doyle on November 23, 2010 at 9:19 amThis is a test post to see how non-Comic posts are going to show up. My hope is to do the annual Advent Madness posts directly to this blog, rather than trying to sync up an older system.
The catch is…will it disrupt the comic?
Only one way to see…
