I’m beginning to suspect Officer Kinkypants may not be a real cop.
Also: Note Whiskey is wearing a helmet while skateboarding. Safety first!

I was honestly amazed to find a Christmas Tree behind the door of Day 6 and not the usual day 23.
I had some alternate punchlines in mind for panel four, but my inner four year old won out.
And, yes, I was too lazy to go back and find the first time Whiskey broke the fourth wall. My guess is within four or five strips of his introduction, though.
I’m still not quite sure what this guy is selling, but it sure seems the cops aren’t buying.
For those of you curious about my writing plan for the Advent – I’m firmly in the “making it up as I go along” camp this year. I haven’t peeked ahead to see what’s coming up (beyond looking at the box), and I’m writing each day’s strip as the items are revealed. It’s a bit risky doing it this way as I could end up backed into a corner story-wise…but in the past this method had lead to the most enjoyable strips.
So we’ll see how it goes.

No, I have no idea what this new guy is talking about either.
So…who wants to talk advent comparison?
Ah, Advent Madness. I’d say I missed you, but it’d be a lie.
From here through Christmas the Brick House is back on a daily update schedule. We’ll see how long it takes before I flub that goal.
In previous years I’ve also done a daily reveal of LEGO’s advent gifts…I don’t have time to work that into a separate event this year, so I’m tweaking things slightly. Now there’ll be a “more” jump in each day’s comic post…and a reveal of the two sets. (One from the CITY advent, one from the Star Wars set.) I’ll write a bit of commentary (maybe) but leave it up to you guys to discuss the merits of one calendar over the other.
So…here’s today’s cut.
