Because a long hiatus has worked so well in getting Denizens done.
I’ve been collecting LEGO’s line of “Collectible Minifigures” since series one. They’re up to series ten now. And, being an OCD competitionist when it comes to these things, I have to complete my collection.
There are a few problems with Series 10 – not the least of which is LEGO’s decision to include an ultra-rare chase figure, “Mr. Gold”, who is limited to a 5,000 figure worldwide release.
There is also the normal problem that the sixteen readily-available figures are randomly packed in sealed baggies.
How many packs will it take for me to complete even the basic set?

Every day I’ll post the results of one more packet of LEGO Collectible Series 10 mayhem at ReasonablyClever.Tumblr.com. I’ll document with photos and commentary, sharing my thoughts about the figures as they’re revealed.
By day 30 I’ll also likely be spending a lot of time bitching about how much money I’ve spent trying to complete this set.

On this strip, alot of things could be taken as “normal”, to be honest…
Did you seriously look in the dictionary for the definition of ‘normal’?

I have a feeling, it all started to fall apart when we entered the Friends Zone. Before then, there was a vauge plot direction. Some weird stuff happened with Grinchley turning into a thick, black, goo… something with psychotic Clones, and there’s also a faceless clown out there somewhere, not to mention Fox and Wash’s hunt for Bilbo Fett. I can’t remember what happened with Donut, Luka, Frobot, or whassisname the masked wrestler. And we could always go back to those carrot-loving zombies, and I can’t remember if they ever killed Butter Scotch.
I say, take a break if you have to, read/watch some decent fiction, get drunk and lost in your own archives, and see what it turns up. Take note of any loose ends, and see if you can weave a decent jacket. Then try not to get it soaked in magic dog pee.
Or, if you feel that way inclined, DO try to get soaked in magical dog pee?Whatever makes you comfortable…
Urine was used in the past in the manufacture of clothing, though I don’t recall why… if it’s a natural fabric softener, then it might indeed make one more comfortable.

The masked wrestler is El Stud, Spanish for “the stud”
As far as what happened is that the angel of death trying to off grinchley caused the 2011 advent thing which was revealed to be them somehow going off to the advent stream and not death. That then lead to the friends universe from early 2012 to current time frame except for the 2012 fleeing/advent.
not counting 1 or 2 non-story line related events, they haven’t been seen since a few days b4 the 2011 advent line started.

Now THERE’S an idea. Chris, why not go all Girls With Slingshots and invite readers to do guest strips to fill up your hiatus? Maybe on a weekly basis or something to give you time for other projects as well. Speaking of which, I really enjoy the minifig challenge thingie.
I’m reading the tumblr too. If you think one sad clown minifig is sad, try four of them.
Which I bought on purpose, and decapitated for their black ruff-thingies. Now I have to deal with all these dead clowns on my desk. It’s incredibly depressing.

i think what’s going to happen with the minifig thing is he will be one away from completing the set but the he gets loads of doubles. even worse, they’re all sad clowns! How sad is that!?
