Jen's Balloon Ride, Part 4

Love takes Flight
[Chris: My one-in-a-million shot of "Heart shaped Flame". ]

Everyone is in, and the burner lights a few more times - then Volunteer Jim unties the rope and gives us a push. We're airborne!

It's the strangest sensation - a very smooth liftoff, you just rise into the air. Since you're carried by the wind, it's not windy - you can feel a little breeze when you drop or rise to a different current. When the burner's off, it's so *quiet*. I'm just taking it all in, until I remember I've got my camera - I better use it!
