Out of the dark comes yet another cheap duplicate of the Batmobile!

Say hello to Bat Racing Car!

As you can see in the logo at right, the Batman bat-Symbol has been duplicated and placed behind a flowing script "Bat" with "Racing Car" in friendly green block lettering.

Just to the right of the logo is a product shot of the Bat Racing Car....

Car art showing Yellow batmobile

The lemon-yellow Batmobile! How stealthy! What a better way to strike fear into the hearts of criminals than to pursue them in the Chaquita-Bannannamobile!

The Bat Racing Car comes blister carded on a single-sided backer. Just to the right of the toy itself is the following "Action Features" listing:

Action Features

Yes, I wondered about the "High Bat Racing Car" line, too. Probably a mis-translation of something more appropriate, or maybe just a suggestion that if Batman ever dropped LSD he might paint the Batmobile yellow.

Control Box

The "Remote Control" funciton is provided by the control box at right.

It is connected to the car by a wire, so you have to be willing to follow along behind the Bannannamobile. No big loss.

As the card states, there are only two ways to go: Forward and reverse. There is no turning mechanism on this toy. What looks like a knob on the control is just part of the shiny sticker. (Note the arrow to show you which way to "turn" the sticker!)

The car is controlled by the big green and pink buttons at top.

For the variation enthusiast, there are several colors to choose from, not just the matte-yellow on the cardback. Best of all, the plastic has been given the same "pearlized" vac-metal treatment seen on many bootleg vehicles.

Yellow Variation
Yellow

The pink version is just as far from reality as the yellow one...but it looks almost blue in the right light.

Speaking of lights - the front "engine protrusion" is a clear tube with a lightbulb in it. Sounds pretty cool to me!

The final tidbit-o-information about this toy comes from a detailed look at the photo on the car's roof.

As you can see at left, this isn't the Bat Racing Car at all!

No, it's really Super Bat Car!!!!
