Full Card Art

Dark Hero

Anti-Crime Action Set

This is actually the first of several bootlegs that have appeared under the Dark Hero banner. All are loosely based on Batman concepts, although there is an "Air Assult" vehicle that looks a lot like an X-Wing.

This first set, however, has all the items necessary to tie the line to a concept bootleg of Batman.

First up we have the card art. That's a very Batman-esque figure standing in front of a Batmobile (yes, I know it's hard to see from the photo. Trust me on this one.)

Next we have the toys themselves....Batma..er...Dark Hero and his car, the Batmobi...er...Darkmobile.

All the items come blistercarded to a single sided backer.

Let's start by taking a closer look at the Batman figure.

Closeup of Batman Figure

Dark Hero

At right we have a detail of the Dark Hero figure. Notice the Batman-like headgear and colorscheme.

He's also got a nifty cape, complete with Bat-Fringe. The rest of the costume, however, isn't really very batman-like. It's full of sharp angles and boxy details. He's articulated at the shoulders and hips.

He comes with a variety of pistols and rifles, all still attached to the sprue. You can see them to the left of the figure in the detail above.

The Darkmobile

Detail of Car

Dark Hero's car isn't identifed as such on the packaging, but you have to admit that the name fits.

I can't tell you a lot about it, as I've only seen the images here, but it looks to have a red-plastic cockpit and is probably a free-rolling toy.

You'll learn more about Dark Hero once I post the other items in this set...a "Robin" figure and the aforementioned "Air Assault" vehicle. Stay Tuned, Dark Fans. Same Dark time, Same Dark Channel!
