Legends of Legends Extreme

On the left, the licensed DC/Kenner production of Legends of the Dark Knight "Premium" line. On the right is the Bootleg - Legends Extreme Bat Knight.

There are four figures in the Bat Knight line:

  • Spline Cape Batman
  • Neural Claw Batman
  • Assault Gauntlet Batman
  • Dive Claw Robin
This is the same lineup as the Kenner version, minus the Bane and Scarecrow figures.

The back of the card features the following text:

From a horrible nightmare, He awakens to a twisted, parallel world where the criminals are in total, tyrannical control. In this apocalyptic vision of City, the villains are unimaginably deadly and the Bat Knight finds himself surrounded. To fight back and regain control, he develops Neural Suit technology that acts as in integral part of his being, tapping into his thoughts and impulses and automatically reacting to danger without hesitation. Now, He becomes a living, breathing weapon and his adventures become Legends of Extreme Bat Knight!

This is almost the same text as the Legends of the Dark Knight packaging, with the direct refrences to Batman and Gotham City removed.

The Bat Knight figures are cast at a six inch scale, slighly reduced from the seven inch Kenner versions.

Aside from the scale diffrences, the Bootleg figure itself is almost identical to the Kenner version. Almost....

Kenner Version

Here's the Kenner version of the Spline Cape figure....for refrence.

Bootleg

Now let's take a look at the bootleg version of the Spline Cape Batman. Notice that the head and arms aren't identical between the two figures. The bootleg's head and arms come from the Neural Claw Batman figure. Although not shown, the figure's legs are also from Neural Claw, not Spline Cape.

Overall, this is the most elegant Bat-Bootleg I've seen. The packaging is sharp, the painting is neatly done, and the figure has crisp detailing on the plastic. My understanding is that these bootlegs are more expensive than other Batman bootlegs, but I think you get what you pay for!
