Bat Knight Box

Batman and Robin - truly the worst movie in the long and tired Batman film series. The movie sucked. The toys, for the most part, sucked. George Clooney just didn't cut it, Uma was ugly, and Batgirl seemed tacked on.

But the BOOTLEGS! Now, they ROCK!

In particular we have the ten inch Bat Knight figures shown here. The packaging has photos lifted directly from the Batman and Robin promotional art: the logos, photos of Batman and Robin in their Ice-Batsuits and the Batman symbols.

The figures come in several colors...I have red, yellow and silver.

The figure is a Batman Forever mold...which one I'm not sure. But the detailing on the masks places it as a Val Kilmer mold. The figure also comes with a molded plastic cape with the Bat symbol poorly airbrused on. The accessores are two guns one of which shoots a plastic missile.

What makes this Bootleg so cool is the superb design of the packaging. The large window-box design and tastful use of promotional art makes this a high quality item. It's a shame that Kenner didn't do this sort of item in "Reality".
