At left we have the dime-store toy Cap Gun. Nothing really remarkable about the toy itself - it could be any one of millions of low-grade cap guns made every year by our friends overseas.
The bootleg elements of this toy come into play when you start to look at the marketing that they've applied to the backboard.
The first, and most prominent image, is that of Robocop.
Upon close inspection it looks like this is a piece of artwork, as opposed to a photo of the actor from the movie. There is no mistaking the identity of the character, however. They might as well have called this toy "Cop Gun" and at least been a touch creative.
There's a detail of the Robocop artwork at right.
At left is the other bootleg element of this toy. Rather than just being a mere, cap gun, this toy is from the Super 007 Series. And, as most people know, 007 is the id number of James Bond. Now, what a British secret service agent has to do with a cyborg lawman is beyond me, but here they are, juxaposed for your enjoyment.
