Spider Heroes Spider Heroes - a bootleg toy just like the Bat Ranger - a motorcycle riding concept Bootleg!

This time the target of the Bootleggers was Spider-Man - probably the best recognized character in Marvel Comic's stable.

The figure and motorcycle come boxed in a colorful window box. The Motorcycle features a working headlight, kickstand and a sidecar. It is cast in red plastic with blue, black and silver paint highlights. It is the same mold used for the Batranger bike.

Here's a shot of the figure still in package...

Packaged Spider-Hero
Some changes were made to Spidey, of course, since this is a Class Three Bootleg. Let's take a look at the included figure...

Spider Hero
The familar red-black-and-blue color scheme has been preserved, although it has been moved around. The same body was used for the Bat Ranger figure, although the Spider Hero has a new head, apparently based off of a Robocop or Powerranger mold. The figure is articulated at the neck, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees.

The box art shows a color scheme quite different from the included figure. This could indicate a third figure in the series, or a prototype that was changed in favor of a more eaisly-recognized concept. Also note the gun in the character's hand...an accessory that the Spider Hero deffinately lacks.

Out of the package, the figure is approximately in scale with most 3 3/4" figure offerings like Kenner's Star Wars. It can be mixed with 5" figures without too much trouble, as shown here....
