3/4 View

This is a Classic Star Trek Cake Topper.....or it would be if the saucer section didn't declare the ship's registry as "SPACE SHIP"! So...what is it? Say it with me.....A BOOTLEG!

From the best guess of the person who traded it to me, the age of this item places it around 1976. The color scheme reflects the era in which it was produced....the Enterprise has been captured in garish Red White and Blue.

Saucer Detail

The "Space Ship" text is actually part of the vehicle's design - the logo is embossed into the plastic. The letters were then highlighted with black paint. This is the only detailing on the entire ship!

Side View

The side view (above) really shows that the bootleggers had the Classic Enterprise in mind. Note that the engineering section is cut in half to allow the decoration to sit firmly on the cake.

While not an action-figure or true vehicle, this bootleg still Rocks! Star Trek bootlegs are hard to find (possibly due to Trek's smaller audience with the kiddie crowd) making anything a rare gem. And the age of this peice makes it even cooler!
