Header Card Most times when a bootleg comes along with a changed line name, it's something that makes sense, albeit in a twisted way. Batman becomes Bat HERO.Star Wars becomes SPACE Wars. But this particular bootleg line is more wacky than usual.

At one time, this was the Kenner Beast Wars Transformers line.

And then something happened.

Something terrible.

So, now they're the Beast Worriors. Are they worried about the Beasts? Are they just mispelled "Warriors"? Who can tell?

It's just sad.

And, speaking of sad, let's take a look at the toys in this line.

Razorbeast RatTrap Terrosaur

From left to right are Razorbeast, RatTrap, and Terrorsaur. There may be more, but these are the ones I've got to review.

The card art features Dinobot, as well as smaller product shots of the robot forms of the Worriors taken from the images on the back of the card. All ten Beasts are pictured, so it's possible the entire line was duplicated.

There is a child safety warning on the lower right, but other than that, the front of the card is devoid of markings.

Card Back At right is the back of the card. Once again, it is taken from the Dinobot card, with only minor modifications. All of the trademark and copyright information has been removed from the lower left, and there is a teeny-tiny omission in the text in the upper left.

If you look very closely, you can see that the ® mark has been removed from after "Transformers." Well, not really removed, but rather just blobbed over so that it looks like a printing error.

Now, they didn't have any problem using the trademarks - Transformer, Maximals, Predacons, even Beast Wars appear without alteration.

Look for the blob!

Finally, let's take a closer look at the three Worriors I have on hand.

RatTrap

RatTrap

The first generalization I need to make about the Worriors is that they are extremely cheap and flimsy. I mean, I haven't even taken them out of the package, but I'm still sure they're going to spontaniusly combust at any moment. The plastic is that fragile looking.

The construction is also pretty bad. As you can see on Rattrap at left, The feet are barely on, and the toy almost looks broken already. The colors are pretty close to those on the back of the package, even down to the rust-colored spray-op on his back. The only big error is that his tail is missing.

RazorBeast

RazorBeast

This is probably the saddest of the three Worriors. Admittedly, the Kenner version wasn't that great either, but this one is very sad.

Maybe it's the way he's just about come apart in the package. Maybe it's the really gloopy paint they used on the mane.

Whatever the case, you just look at this toy and want to cry.

Terrorsaur Finally we have TerrorSaur.

Nothing really wrong with this fellow, as he mimics the goofy orignal very well. Ah, why oh why couldn't I have found a Cheetor or Waspinator from this line? At least those 'bots are keen.

(Of course, it could explain why these three were left out of the possible set of ten.....the lame-os get ignored in favor of the cooler knock offs...)

The paint operations are nice, and the molding is pretty decent. Due to the way this particular Worrior transforms, he looks pretty "together" in the photo above. Rest assured, though, that from the side he looks about as stable as Homer Simpson on a sugar binge.

Overall, an interesting line of bootlegs. There as SO many Transformer knock-offs out there, it's nice to see one that is quickly and easily id'ed for what it is - an illegal copy.
