Ultraforce Logo

Ultraforce - the failed toy line by Galoob. Ultraforce - The Bootleg Toy. As you can see in the image above, the bootleggers didn't bother to change the name of the property they were stealing. Unlike Galaxy Cops or even Bat-Hero, Ultraforce Bootleg (UB) - brazenly pretends to be a licensed toy.
Card Design

As you can see, the card features a slightly sorry looking Ultraforce logo, and a picture of Prime - surrounded by smaller icons of the other characters. Like most bootlegs, there are no individual packages for each character, rather all the figures share a common card design. The back of the UB card has each of the character's picture as well as instructions on how to work the action features.

There are 8 figures in this line:

Painting Details

Nightman

The Nightman figure, like all the rest of the UBs, is molded exactly the same size and shape as his legit counterpart. But take a look at the painting they did! While the Galoob figure had clear, sharp detail, the UB looks like it was painted with a Q-Tip.

Ghoul

The paint detail on Ghoul isn't all that bad, until you look at the expression on his face. I don't remember the Galoob version looking that startled!

Topaz

Compare the Topaz shown here with the Ultra-5000 Queen Topaz figure elsewhere at this site. Scary, eh?

Prime

The prime, though, has to be my favorite of this lame group. The poor painting makes this already akward figure look more like Monkey-Man than an Ultra Hero.

Overall, this is the most disapointing Bootleg reproduction (in terms of quality) that I've come across yet. Still, it is good example of why you might want to spend your money on legit toys....
