Three of Swords

Divination:

This is the card of the human conscience, which experiences anxiety or suffering even when we are forced to act in a manner befitting the ultimate good. It represents decisions which are often against our best interest but which have to be made despite personal emotional needs.

Author Commentary:

One of the first cards to be made for this deck, the similarity to Monty Python's Black Knight sketch from Holy Grail was completely unintentional. I just wanted a knight figure running away from a different knight figure, with swords on the ground.

But every one who saw the card assumed it was the Black Knight. So I went with it.

This card went through a couple of revisions, detailed in the Rejected Section.
