Four of Swords

This card signifies academic study or psychological analysis. Period of withdrawal, seclusion, research, investigation, diagnosis. Introspection.

Author Commentary:

The Rider-Waite deck has a figure lying on a slab. I wanted a more scholarly vision. So I have the figure fleeing in Three of Swords reading up on his Agrippa. (I'm looking forward to the day when LEGO comes out with some book accessories that don't have Harry Potter themes printed on them. )

Two of these swords were added digitally, but otherwise this card appears pretty much as photographed.
