XIX - The Sun

Divination:

A card of beginnings, new opportunities, and ambition. Also clarity of vision and purpose.

Author Commentary:

My good friends Ken and Nancy appear in this card. While designing the deck, they were at a reasonably major cusp in their lives. The Sun was the obvious placement for them here as they faced their own new beginnings.

As to the card itself, I had to use black text for the card number instead of the usual white. I wanted the sun directly behind them, and using white text rendered the number virtually invisible.

Nancy's son, Mike, appears in The Hanged Man.
