XVI - The Tower

Divination:

The nasty card of the deck - signifying sudden change, release, downfall, and revelation.

Author Commentary:

These days there are certain images in the public mind that you want to avoid using. An example of this is "The Tower" - it would have been very easy to go with some sort of World Trade Center theme. Everyone thinks of it, and the divination fits.

But, for the same reason it's so recognizable, it's also horribly cliched. And overused. And best left alone.

So ...I opted for a Giant Robot Destroying downtown.

The model is actually just a slight revision of a vignette I built for the Bricktionary project on this site. It's always been a favorite of mine, so it seemed silly to build a different robot to get the same effect.
