Read the comic here.I guess I was wrong about Whiskey's urge to become a Fireman being a one-strip joke. Sometimes these characters just don't want to go the direction I push them in. (Whiskey in particular)

I quite like Whiskey's fireman outfit, particularly the silver/chrome helmet he's got on.
I'm actually quite okay with this change, for as long as you can withstand having him spontaneously spout fireman jokes he'll make me laugh too! ;-)
don't change Whiskey back for a while Doyle, he's really funny as a Fireman :P
Fireman Whiskey is the greatest character ever. I vote we replace the fireman in this year's Advent calendar with him.
