Read the comic here.You can see why Fox and Wash have been together so long. Fox provides the energy (sometimes in the form of complete freakouts) and Wash provides the calm voice to balance the chaos. Being undead has its perks, apparently.
(And, yes, I realize Zoe/Wash has a similar dynamic. Only steal from the best, I say.)

It's times like this a fifth panel would've completely made it funnier with the use of a beat panel.
Still funny, though.
Do you ever read out loud in the comic the fan mail? You should.
