Package Design Ah, Hercules. Whenever you get a mythological character who appears in a popular TV show, you're going to get bootlegs. And, of course, we've got a couple to show you.

At right is the carded Legends of Hercules figure. The card art is entirely new, and appears to be based off the mythological stylings of Herc, rather than the TV show. At least, the figure in the bubble bears little or no resemblance to the figure shown on the card art.

The logo, however, is very similar to the ones from the ToyBiz figures (and their bootlegs)

As usual, the bootleg is not aimed at the kiddies, as the ever present "For age 3 and up" moniker in the upper left explains. There is also a boxed warning in the lower right.

The lower left has a stock number ("No. 8681"), some more safety and recycling logos, and the "Made in China" label. (See detail, below.)

Stock Number 8681

The figure itself appears to be a modified version of the Toybiz Hercules figure (which was itself an in-house bootleg of the older Green Arrow figure mold!)

Kevin? Is that you?
The head of the figure is the dead giveaway, of course. Doesn't that look just like Kevin Sorbo - after he's been up for about 87 consecutive hours, of course. I find the eyebrows particularly funny - like two fuzzy brown caterpillars have perched on his skull.

The vest is made of shiny red vinly, and the exact same cut has been found on a Biker Mice From Mars bootleg.
