Star Warrior
With a name like Star Warrior you know you're in for a real joke of a bootleg - and when the knock-off artists add the line Mighty Peacekeepers From a Distant Galaxy you might as well start laughing right away.

Full Card Art At left you can see the figure as he comes carded. This is a rather large bootleg, and the card measures a good 15" x 9". The figure itself is an impressive 10" or so tall.

He comes blistered with four weapons - a pistol, a rifle, a big ole' axe, and what appears to be a weapon based on the Klingon Bat'leth.

The package also advertises this toy to be "Battery Operated"...and that's completely true. There's a button in the center of the figure's chest. If you press it, one of three things will happen:

The package also has some interesting clip art. Below are two details...

Space Shuttle Clip Art Star King Ent-D

To the left is a picture of the space shuttle. To the right is an image of yet another bootleg toy, Star King. This is Star Trek's Entererprise-D, flipped upside down and given lights, sounds, and bump-and-go action.

Card Back To the right is a shot of the back of the card. Most of the left side is taken up with instructions on how to replace the batteries, in three different languages.

The right of the card shows Star Warrior in action - and highlights the incredible amount of articulation that this toys posses.

The figure has joints at:

That's 13 points of articulation all together. An extremely poseable figure!

Here's a detail of the product shot, to give you a better view:

Look at that Pose!

Darth Vader as Star Warrior What makes Star Warrior a bootleg, is, of course, the figure's uncanny resemblance to a certain Dark Lord of the Sith.. The photo to left shows the identical mask, as well as the duplicated belt style.

There is a red LED in the center of the chest decoration that lights up when you press the button. (To accompany the sound effects detailed above.)

The shoulder epaulets also raise and lower, allowing for a full range of arm motion for Mr. Warrior.

Trek weapon Finally, here's a detail of the very Star Trek like weapon that comes with this bootleg. if you switch the handgrips from the straight edge to the curve of the blade, you've got yourself a perfect Klingon ceremonial blade..

Overall, Star Warrior is one of my personal favorite bootlegs. He's big, articulated, articulate, and his hands are jointed so he can really hold his weapons. Plus, he scares my cats when he says "Drop your weapon!". What more could you ask for???
