LEGO 2005 Advent Calendar - Day 5

Today's Prize
Ace the Bathound and Accessories

The LEGO site reveals that there will be no fewer than nine mini-figures in this year's Advent Calendar. Add the two dogs shown on the box and you've got a fairly large attack force. The first dog makes his appearance today, just in time to help out Officer Grumpypants from Day 4.

Now, some of you who know the LEGO line will be saying "Hey! That's the Grimm from the Harry Potter Sets!" I'm here to tell you "Nope." What some people aren't aware of yet is that LEGO scored the Batman License for 2006. So this, obviously, is a sneak peek at their "Ace The Bathound" figure.

He may be unmasked, but there's no fooling me. This is a Batman toy.

Oh, and it also comes with a little "Police" Barricade, and two extras: Another "Police" sign and a square blue 1x1 plate. Harder to pretend that's water...unless maybe it's ice or something. Yeah. That's it. Ice. Or a secret Bat-Signal device. I like that better.

Meanwhile, in the life of the Advent Calendar:

Officer Grumpypant's call for backup was answered in a flash by Ace! He quickly overpowers Ralphie and attacks the Axe-Wielding Maniac!

Ka-pow! BIFF! Punch! Bite! Gnaw!!!

But wait! Ace has spotted the fire hydrant! What will happen next??

Tune in tomorrow. Same Bat-Time, Same Bat-Calendar....
