This strip answers the question “are Whiskey and Harry stuck with only the happy/angry faces?” No. They’ll default to Happy/Harry and Angry/Whiskey most of the time, but it’d be silly to limit myself like that.
For those of you who don’t feel like Archive-Diving back to Strip 582, the Dwarf does have the wrong guy. He was interacting with Whiskey, not Harry. But will Harry be able to convince him of that?
Behind the scenes, I did a bit of digital trickery with Harry’s eyeline in panel four. I’m not 100% pleased with the results…I never am when I try and tweak the character’s expressions. Eventually I’ll learn to leave well enough alone…

I was starting to get concerned that an obscure back reference hadn’t shown up in awhile. We have been side tracked from our main heros too, so I’m excited to see how they are going to be reintroduced. 😀
