Read the comic here.I wasn't sure if I wanted to cut back to Past!Whiskey in the fourth panel or not - but I realized that Donut's explosive going off would probably be heard/felt by the group as they're somewhere on the same floor - although way off by the elevators at this point. Having Wash dismiss the event keeps the continuity running smooth. And I know a few of you are watching me closely on that...
First draft of Panel Four Dialog:
Past!Whiskey: what was that?? The whole building shook! The zombies must be revolting!
Past!MarySue: We did that joke already.
Past!Wash: Or we were about to.

I wonder if Donut's got any last-second tricks up his sleeve he wanted to pull off. Because if not, I can't see a way out of this for Whiskey and Scotch, either.
I think the cut back to Wash and Fox in the earlier episode looks like a rather big cop-out on Doyle's part. Indeed, back in Episode 241, the storyline shows no knowledge at all of the future Whiskey/Donut/Scotch's plans to get a piece of Pat.
I would've preferred to know something more of what Donut's fate was ... 'Tis not easy to get blown to smithereens and pull yourself together again ...
If this is a Doctor Who spoof, he'll just regenerate...
