Five of Swords

Divination:

This card shows being defeated due to lack of preparation, or other incapacity. Being unfairly attacked or admonished.

Author Commentary:

The Black Knight from the Three of Swords is back, and he's managed to take down yet another Knights figure. The swords he's collecting here lead directly to the creation of the Seven of Swords.

This developing story line was a departure from the Rider-Waite theming I was adhering to previously. With the realization that I could still use the images, but add to them to create my own little "story within the suit" the possibilities for the deck opened up.

Plus, I could now re-use backgrounds!
